ABSTRACT

Rice is the main commodity of Indonesian population. Demand for rice continues to increase every year along with the increase in population. To keep the food supply, should be intensified cultivation of rice varieties. One of the varieties is Ciherang rice. This study aims to determine the performance of Ciherang rice resistant dry derived in second generation (M2) results of gamma radiation on drought stress. This research was conducted in the Greenhouse Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if there is a significant difference continued with DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) level of 5%. The results showed that there are five (5) individuals mutant derived from a different treatment, two (2) plants of treatment sprinkling every day and a radiation dose of 100 gray, two (2) plants of the treatment plant sprinkling every day and a radiation dose of 300 gray, and one (1) plant of the treatment sprinkling every 2 days and without radiation.
