EXISTENCE OF BROWN PLANTHOPPER’S NATURAL ENEMIES ON SOME RICE VARIETIES USING DIFFERENT CULTIVATION TECHNIQUES

This research aimed to study the development of brown planthopper’s natural enemies in the various varieties and different cultivation techniques.This research has been carried out in the paddy fields in the village of District Mojolaban Joho, Sukoharjo in May 2012 to November 2012. This research uses Split Plot Design, cultivation techniques as the main plot and rice varieties as subplots, with 9 replications and 3 random samples. The result of the research showd that in some rice varieties using different cultivation techniques have the same BPH’s predator class, it consist of Lycosa sp., Paederus sp., Coccinella spp., and Cytorhinus sp.. Lycosa sp., Paederus sp., Coccinella spp., and Cytorhinus sp.. The highest population average of Cyrtorhinus sp. (23,67 individuals/hiils) found at 3 weeks after planting (WAP) Ciherang varieties using rice cultivation technique with zeolite addition. The highest population average of Lycosa sp. (1,78 individuals/hiils) found when 8 WAP on Sunggal varieties with integrated pest management (IPM) concept aplication. The highest population average of Coccinella spp. found in 9 WAP at Batang Pariaman varieties using rice cultivation techniques with zeolite addition (2,22 individuals/hiils). For rice cultivation with IPM concept application showed the highest population average of Paederus sp. (1.76 individuals/hiils) that was found at 10 WAP on Batang Pariaman varieties.
